My first time EVER eating sardines. They were really good, much lighter flavor and softer texture than I was expecting. I adopted some ideas from recipes I’ve seen here and had Nuri deens on avocado toast with pickled red onions and allepo pepper on one side and chili crunch oil on the other. I’m going to use the rest of the can for some kind of breakfast thing tomorrow morning.

I’m very excited to try the spiced deens or deens with tomatoes because the flavor of these was almost unnoticeable. Very happy though nonetheless.

    Another great topping is furikake in a shaker container available from Asian stores and a bunch of regular groceries in a number of flavors
