[x-post] There is an Indian line cook who is confused and pissed off right now. OP’s comment: “Ordered Indian takeout and found a dime bag in the curry” LOL

Dime bag if they were lucky. Whatever was in there could kill someone.

I kinda wish someone in r/theydidthemath if we knew what drug(if any ) were in this bag, assuming it’s empty, how much of a ‘dose’ wold someone get?

I don’t know realy anything about hard drugs, but if the bag was empty, what food could give a high? If it’s cooked will it be ‘cooked out’ like liquor or would there be effects still?

I’m not very educated but am very curious 😅 I know acid can absorb in skinny front the movies I’ve seen but I’m not sure about the cooking aspects. But most likely this was dropped in during the prep/serving.

On the original post people are in the comments saying its obviously a bag of spices. OP claimed that there was a white substance inside and someone suggested that it’s onion powder or a similar seasoning.

It’s really interesting to me that they don’t want to believe line cooks could be doing drugs at work.

I’d be Google-ing if I could Narcan myself just in case or like if I’d die. Do you die from that? Or I guess nar-can you die from it? Fuck me. I’ll see myself out.

  6. I had a brunch cook who got gifted a nug by a dude in the middle of a shift. He put it in a small soup cup above his station for later—next to the rest of the soup cups stacked for service.

End of the shift, he goes to grab his nug for a break in the alley and it’s not there. Best we can figure is someone got a surprise in their chili and didn’t say anything about it.

If this actually happened that person would be owning that restaurant by the end of the week.

Did you hear about the junkie who accidentally shot up curry powder? He’s in a korma.

I did not even know dime bags existed anymore..

  11. All these comments are so split it’s funny.

Let’s think. Does it look like to go? Or eat in?

So my guy found a bag, in piping hot food, which doesn’t look at all misshapen, and he didn’t taste anything funny until he ate almost all of it? Ever tasted burnt plastic? This is so fake is sad the thread is still up.

  12. Hmm thats why this curry is so good and im on my 5th order today…

Hey OP, dimebag implies that there was weed in this bag.

Does not look like weed was in that bag.

Far different implications between the two scenarios.

And here I am worrying about micro plastics in my food.
