Guys, Mayura in Culver is misleading customers by saying it’s Sarvana Bhavan on delivery apps. I called them asking why are they doing this and they say because it’s a ‘closed kitchen’. What on earth! How do we report this? I usually am such a fan of Mayura (except their delivery food is starting to taste bad recently), and I love the Aunty who runs it. But, what is this.

Not sure what’s going on with the two names but agree that their takeout has been very unimpressive lately. I used to love ordering from there but the last few times not so much
pretty common actually. BJ’s goes by Slo Roast on delivery apps. it started with ghost kitchens during covid. that’s probably what you misheard. it’s their ghost kitchen, not a closed kitchen. just have to be diligent because the only way to tell is by the address lol

Yeah there are 900 different pizza options all from one kitchen. It’s very common.
If you’re a fan of Mayura why you complaining lmao the math isn’t mathing
Noob
man, I miss Zafran Pot that was right next door.
I order from and also deliver for Uber Eats, so I understand ghost kitchens as a concept.
The part I don’t understand is why they need to exist in the first place? One of the comments mentions that Chili’s has a ghost kitchen (or several). But, why?
People like Chili’s, why not just call it Chili’s?
Unless it’s a franchisee getting around a policy from corporate somehow? I don’t understand the advantage.
It’s a ghost kitchen. Lots of places are doing this now.
I don’t use UE, but there must be a way to see the location/address of a place before you order? I know you can with DoorDash.
I live right by Sister’s Cafe in Hollywood, but I wanted to try a Banh Mi from somewhere different for once, so I ordered one from “Banh Mi, Baby” on DoorDash. Turns out it’s literally just Sisters Cafe with a fake name, and my delivery driver had the easiest trip of his career. I was really upset though.
Oh sweet summer child…
