Visited this evening, they opened up a few months ago. The food is erm… not great.
Pros:
– Good drinks, got a strawberry margarita with a sugar rim and it was pretty good.
– Beautiful restaurant, they took their time designing every aspect out it.
– Steak was pretty good, a perfect medium
– Good service, very kind staff. It get’s busy in there and those women were running that place like the navy.
Cons:
– Bad empanadas 🙁 Mushy filling and not very seasoned.
– Undercooked rice. Both of these dishes were undercooked. The arroz de pollo was both mushy and undercooked at the same time. The white rice was also super undercooked. Very hard and not good. Even the people seated beside us said the same thing.
I’m willing to give them another chance and try something else. They have a good happy hour drink deal. Someone ordered a jibarito and it looked pretty good so I will try that next time.

This post title made me laugh for some reason. Reminds me of a note a teacher would write on an essay.
“D- needs work, see me after class”
Great potential, flawed execution is a great way to describe traditional Colombian cooking. Those plates look straight out of any hole in the wall restaurant in Bogotá, but they look a bit out of place with the decor.
Still looks like a nice place…May try it out

I’m sorry to hear this. I look forward to the day when we have a good dining option in that location along with the Bryn Mawr corridor.
iirc most of that interior design is from the last restaurant in that spot, Brasserie/Cookies and Carnitas
My friends painted the mural outside that restaurant! I’m so proud of them, they did an amazing job.
(I also helped to take the old awning down which really opened the space outside and made it look much more contemporary)
Haven’t tried any of the food yet, but my partner did. He said he liked the lunch special.
I’m definitely gonna try the jibarrito though – I love jibarritos and have had to travel far in the past to get it.
Everything looks dry and unseasoned.
I love the empanadas, their very authentic. My parents used to make very similar ones.
