Culinary student here, I’ve been working on my personal recipe for a couple months and I think I finally nailed it! It has everything I personally desire in a chocolate chip cookie: chewy center, crispy outer edge, holds up well for storage and transportation. I sell these bad boys and they get bought up like crazy! What do y’all think?

Those look great. I like dark chocolate chopped a bit finer and then a sprinkle of flaked sea salt on top.

Dissolve the baking soda in a little (1 tsp) warm water. This made a huge difference in the consistency and texture of mine.

Would you be willing to share the recipe? I‘ve bewn trying forever now to get them to look exactly like yours and they always end up cakey with a dome and not crispy/chewy, it‘s so frustrating 🙁

Well done OP, sometimes something so simple can utterly kick you in the ass! These look amazing 🙂

If you’d ever feel like sharing your recipe, I’ll keep it secret here in South Africa.

(desperate to make one decent batch of cookies in my damn life, and I’m currently approaching 30 and the *immense pressure* to not be able to bake a cookie is killing me, a person, who bakes regularly, who bakes so well their friends hire me for sweet treats for events. The cookie however, has proven time and time again to humble my ass.)

Sorry dad this is why I didn’t go pro, the cookie 😭

I think if I could extract the one you’re holding from the picture, I could test it for you and give you my honest opinion. But I would have to have at least 3 to be certain.

Timing **is** key. A difference of 10 or 20 seconds can make or break a recipe.

These look delicious! Nice and soft in the middle, the perfect cookie. I started making browned butter chocolate chip cookies this fall and honestly, I don’t think I can make them regular again.

any chance you can bless us humble humans with the recipe? for real tho they look delicious and i wanna try making browned butter cookies now

Have you tried a rest in the fridge overnight? The egg proteins break down some of the flour proteins and it gets extra browning.

I like brown butter CC cookies same day but not the next day.
