The wife and I like to commemorate our anniversary with vacation most fall seasons. This past year while vising MXC were we excited to snag a reservation to the Quintonil – Kitchen Counter Experience to celebrate.
Now, we are not exactly fine dining experts, but we have definitely been to our fair share of restaurants around the country and world, and Quintonil really blew us away, especially considering the lackluster experience we had at Pujol just a few days later.
The atmosphere and hospitality were top notch, we both honestly felt very welcome by the entire staff. Because it was our anniversary, we had quite a few extra interactions, a pre-dinner champaign toast, and of course celebratory dessert flan.
Everything was set and timed meticulously, while the guests had a fun and interactive view of the kitchen the entire service. Service was top notch all around, the space and counter was open and inviting.
Food was equally phenomenal, with a spotlight on traditional Mexican cuisine as the beating heart of each plate. The main course was a massive amount of food, an almost shocking array considering it was just one course out of 12. Really blown away, the proportions were enough to be satisfied, even full, but not overwhelming.
We both agreed the best bite was the tostada in mole sauce, possible the best bite of food we have ever eaten.
Only drawback is it was pricy even for fine dining, but an experience worth the cost, highly recommend!

My wife and I went there the night we got engaged, and I still drool over that meal to this day. The best I’ve had.

Went here last summer. Every course was amazing. I really enjoyed the Mexican Indigenous influence. Glad to see so many people enjoying the experience. Happy Anniversary to you and your wife! What a special way to celebrate!
