I wish we had a few Gandhis to save the US now. Instead, we can eat our Aloo Masala and watch the leaders of this once-great country crash and burn. (Sorry, I’m still a bit depressed that a majority of American voted for a felon.)

I agree in principle but if you had to chose between saving the life of a human or that of lamb, the choice seems obvious.

Many paths lead there. Desire for health, desire for more ecological living. I find the Vegan argument always ends up putting humans and human troubles second, which is definitely not the side I would err on. I came to this for health first and foremost. I still enjoy the taste of meat and fish and eggs.

There’s nothing ‘icky’ or ‘wrong’ to me about ending the life of an animal to sustain myself. There is plenty wrong with factory farming (the industry of death and suffering comparison is apt, if heavy-handed) and disingenuous lobbies and tone-deaf doctors on the nutritional front.

Such a beautiful sentiment in so few words! It’s really not that hard people!!

You can skip the first 2 1/2 minutes of this video – it’s just me reading out loud official definitions of veganism to prove that I’m not making shit up.

WFPB is not synonymous with veganism. The groups overlap a lot, but this is specifically a diet sub and not an ideology sub
