Found this INSIDE a turkey breast from Sysco. Bruh. It was inside the actual meat. I was under the assumption it wasn’t reconstituted meat slurry in a boob shape but clearly I was wrong

Do you have the sysco order number? If it’s what I’m thinking of, yes it’s a meat slurry product.

Some companies use a “moisture injector” in the factory to ensure the turkey does dry out during transit before being sold to the customer. It looks like a big long tattoo needle but has these at the base to hold the needle in place.

Source: used to butcher turkeys for a factory and this machine broke the most.

That’s not Turkey Breast. That’s mechanically separated (mostly) breast meat.

Shit. It might not even be all Turkey! There might be other poultry involved.

Like a big ol feathered gang bang, the plastic is the least of your concerns.

That being said, I’m glad you found it and didn’t serve it to your guests.

Somebody air tagged your turkey! 🦃

The amount of people that think they sell fake meat to the general public is astounding.

Once found a massive stainless steel hypo needle in a corned beef. My vendor came by and showed me which needles they use to inject the brine (interesting!) and explained that the thing we found, which scared the heck out of my lead cook in a 90 bed skilled nursing facility, was simply snatched free from the hypo as they were injecting antibiotics (and gawd know what else) into a living cow, and their twitch response is so strong that their muscles can do that. Wow. Then he gave us a ton of free meat 😜

That’s part of a broth injector at the plant. You’re fine. Jesus fucking Christ, y’all.

Find your sysco batch order # and report it. They’ll most likely reimburse. But even if they don’t, they’ll alert others who got this same batch

So did this meat have any bones in it? If not then especially with poultry you are getting who knows what. Marketing is the most exploited over used scam in the world, if you didn’t ask they are definitely not going to tell you. Get meat with bones in it and would should be good on that reconstituted part there bud

  10. Got a staple in a chicken breast from Sysco earlier this week, ridiculously bad quality from those fucks

  11. The place I used to work at also used Sysco, god I hated them. They constantly forgot items or gave us old stuff

Got some patties from Sysco once. One had a screw in it….. sysco sucks.

Ordered flat iron steak.. received one small box of flat bread. Of course not even the kind of flat bread we have on the menu. The box had mismatched labels and all

Sysco is the absolute worst. We always got rotten foods and shit from time and one driver was a POS who hated us checking dates and making sure we had everything on the order

I think that’s one of the rings that holds in the thermometer that pops out
