This cellar is in my 1972 home in Morris County, NJ. It’s not climatized, so in winter it can get into the mid-40s. It’s in an air-conditioned basement in a very sturdy home, which keeps summer temps in the low 60s. I keep a fan running in summer.

Love how you set that up. Wood with the terra cotta flu pipes. Looks great!!!

No reason to keep a fan running in the summer. Wine bottles don’t sweat so there’s no evaporative cooling, you’re just generating waste heat from the appliance

Temp. is set at 54 F and I try to keep humidity in the 50-70% range.

I just have mine in my basement and it fluxes 55-65.

  5. I’ve had that same radio shack thermometer in my server room at work for about 20 years now. Makes me think should bring it home finally and test out my basement

13ish for my “Long term fridge” and 9-10 for my ready to drink.
What worries me more is humidity. I have trouble getting up stable over 50%
    Any ideas?

  7. My cellar is a cabinet beside my dining table and the house is set to 70.

    So….70.
