I've been fighting the blight of wild onions in my yard for years. They pop up everywhere like weeds and I can never completely get rid of them. I've been toying with the idea of eating them for a while, but finally got around to it last night. I made creamy potato wild mushroom soup with Andouli sausage.
It was bomb.
I'm not longer a hater.

You have never lived in the country until you find wild onions!

I’m jealous
Ramps? Ramps are truly incredible. $30 a point in the USA for like 5 weeks when they are forageable.
The bulbs are like a mini onion/garlic, and the leaves are absolutely 💯 sautéed with olive oil, salt pepper. Essentially an onion-flavored spinach leaf
I was shopping at an ag store and a fellow customer came in inquiring about a selective herbicide for chives growing in his lawn… I thought to myself, well you could just eat them to death instead of spraying them.
