If you’re good with that knife it’s so much easier, that thing is a bitch to clean. I mean come on what is it like a 3rd pan of tomato slices

I absolutely LOVE mine, I didn’t know these things existed until I walked into this current kitchen I’m in
Splenetic_Stoat
Ours got super dull, and after two weeks of pestering my KM to order new blades, we swapped the old ones out for serrated blades.
It’s seen months of everyday use and still cuts like day one. I highly recommend harassing your KM until they get you some serrated blades.

Would love to see a time/cost comparison on these versus a knife.
Must keep in mind, cleaning, one nick in the blade of a tomato witch and it’s toast, the inevitable assclown that tries to do a lemon, the health department nit picking said cleaning. And changing the blades, especially if that little fucking pin slides out and you have to align…omfg, ptsd kicking in…
In 35 years in kitchens, I’ll take the knife every single day, even doing 4 1/3 pans…

Ive got a love hate relationship with these. Sure you can mindlessly bang out tomato slices, but go from using a 5×6 to a beefy motherfucker or a gassed up piece of shit in the winter & theyre useless

These things have honestly cut me more than any knife. I loathe them. The moment you have to run over-ripe tomatoes through one with dulling blades, you’ll get it.

We slice 4-full size hotel pans of tomatoes every day and these things are a lifesaver.
Until some jackass thinks they can slice onions with it, that is….

Just wait until someone tries an onion on it.

I normally hate kitchen gadgets but slicing tomatoes is the one exception. When I worked in a burger place for years we had a deli slicer for turkey and ham sandwiches. We just used that for Toms. I would prefer that over this but if your kitchen doesn’t have one sure.

I’m glad you found it, but I’m pretty sure this “game changer” technology is significantly older than the grand parents of most of the people seeing this.

Had a guy knock one of these (smaller version wirh more exposed blades) off the table and try to catch it. Not pretty.

Wait til the blades start bending and aren’t aligned correctly.

You call that a game changer? [THIS](https://www.grotecompany.com/portals/0/Images/products/Slicers-Fresh-Produce-Detail.jpg) is a game changer!

I have scars on my knuckles from that.
