I’m all for efficiency, but for some reason that’d annoy me too.

It’s a game for me to see how many seeds I can get on my knife. Record is 6.

If you roast them in the oven at 200c for about 30mins and then crushed them up with a mortar and pestle (or a strong blender) you’ll have yourself some powdered avocado stones. Idk what you can do with them though

I’m impressed at the quantity of perfectly ripe avocados. I buy them with “I’m ripe now!” stickers on, they feel firm with a bit of give, in the store, and then the minute they arrive on my countertop, they’re brown and icky.

I can get six avo pits on a blade before having to clear it

My mom used to stab down into the seed to get it out of the avocado, then one day she missed, she does not stab them anymore lol.

Am I the only one who uses a serrated bread knife for avacados? I feel like the pit never slips, and the curvature allows an easier motion fast slicing.

I do that with a paring knife, doing it with what looks like a nice french knife is crazy to me.
