Not to be rude but do yourself a favor and sharpen your knife or if you’re in a kitchen that shares house knives buy your own and keep it sharp. Look for something cheap with a blade the same width all the way down (no big bulge of metal down by the handle, makes sharpening unnecessarily hard.)

Even a cheap knife will improve your cuts, keep your hands safer, (dull knives slip, don’t cut straight and take more pressure to cut) and you’ll have less onion fumes when you’re slicing rather than crushing through it.

Don’t let anybody else use your knife and only cut on cutting boards, not metal. Good luck chef!

Technically I don’t chop the onions. I work at Subway and we’re supposed to cut off the ends, core it and throw it in the slicer. My bosses are unfortunately too cheap to get new knives and we’ve been told that we “can’t sharpen them” idk man
