This saves 2 seconds and risks everything inside

Used to work for a place where they didn’t wrap anything in the reach-in they just laid plastic wrap over all of it like blanket

  3. AloshaChosen

Depends what it is I guess. Sometimes I’ll do this with the salt and pepper containers just cause there’s no chance of them having something crawl inside.

Not worth remaking everything you’ll eventually drop.
Same rage with just hole fucking plastic wrap with your hand and leaving it there

This is the fuck it I’m trying to get the hell outa here close type shit

Things should be prepped line ready. So when they are needed you can just grab and go without any extra work.

While it would take 2 seconds to take off. Thats super annoying in a rush. Not worth it in my opinion.

  7. This is what we call lazy job… and taking a risk to fucking both 🤣

None! I am a retired Executive Chef if I see this you are rewrapping everything. If you continue to do this you will not be working in my kitchen.

  11. my new station partner does this shit. single wrap over the top compartment of the lowboy. uses sharpie directly on deli cups and lids. he told me i was wasting time by making tape labels the other day. i just looked at him for like 8 seconds, didnt say anything and then went back to making my labels LOL

I’d be the idiot to grab one container and then have the other one follow it all the way off the counter and onto the floor.

  13. pintjockeycanuck

I used to do this to save plastic, but I would cut between them afterwards and pull the seal tight

  14. L to the A to the Z don’t forget the Y, Y would u do that because your L A Z Y

I thought my chef caught me doing this and posted it 😭 thank God that’s not my background

  16. papanikolaos

It is absolutely the wrong way of doing things, but we all know that feeling at the end of the night.

  17. Sofamancer

It’s not sealed and it’s gonna fall apart

  18. I only do it for the two 1/9th pans on my station. Everything else gets individually wrapped

  19. The real trick is to put eight of these in a full hotel pan and cover the entire hotel pan with one strip of Saran wrap.

  20. wendellbaker

Be honest. It was you from last night wasn’t it?

  21. Rustled__Jimmies7

The only pans I do this with is my salt and pepper that I keep next to my grill, but otherwise I’m not a fan.

What? Do you not have thumbs? Missing a hand. It’s fine ya big baby. Find something worth complaining about.

This screams “early shift drinks”. So early tickets are still printing on the line

  24. MustBeSeven

This technically costs you time, as neither is air proofed or germ proofed anymore, meaning if it oxidizes, or goes bad, it will need to be disposed of.

  25. Ramen-Goddess

This makes me want to do unspeakable things to the person who did this

Worth a frown? Possibly. Worth the couple of points the health inspector docks us because they are in a bad mood or just plain looking for something to dock us for? No.
