I typically buy tteok in either noodle form or in ovals. These are small balls, perhaps 1 centimeter or 3/8 inches in diameter. I've never seen these before. Is there a proper name for these, aside from "tteok"?

쌀떡 means rice cake. The first word is probably the brand.

Tteok (Korean rice cake) and my mom makes it on Korean holidays.

It literally says 조랭이 쌀떡 😅 Joraengi tteok is exactly that kind, the little symmetrical bowling pin looking ones. There’s nothing special about it except it’s small and cute, so we occasionally use it in place of the other stuff.

It’s just a different shape of rice cake.
Joraengi 조랭이 —> gourd (shape)
Ssal Duk 쌀떡 —> rice cake
