Recipe:
Meat Church Honey Bee for seasoning
Smoked at 250 for roughly 4 hours until it hit 130-135F. Applied glaze and let it caramelize until it hit 140F.
Glaze:
Bourbon of your choice Maple syrup (you can also add a bit of honey for an additional sweet element) Dark or light brown sugar Cinnamon Nutmeg Cloves Juice from one orange
Let it reduce down over low simmering heat until it hits a drizzlable consistency. Paint on all sides and let it adhere to the ham for another 10-15 minutes.
I smoked my first Honey Baked spiral ham about 4 years ago on my Traeger. The team I served it to at work raved about how much better it tasted smoked. I agree and I smoke ham about once a month now. Nice job. Happy Smoking.
