I’m glad that I already have my full compliment of Webers. Corporate mergers are very rarely good for the consumer.

  2. Same here, my weber experience has been amazing even with customer service I hope that doesn’t change

  3. I’m just glad that I’m stocked up on my weber needs for the next several years.

  4. Hopefully my current Webers last long enough that I will never need to buy whatever garbage the new company produces.

  5. They haven’t been the same since the original company was sold, so this won’t matter much.

I’ve never had a complaint with either company but I’m worried about the overall quality moving forward

Hopefully good news. Blackstone gets the better quality from Weber. Paint etc.

Hopefully it has less effect on Weber and more on Blackstone

I think the current line up of grills is less sturdy and lighter materials than the models from around 2012-15ish. I’m not exactly sure how to label the generations. I still am a fan of all Weber kettles but their gas grills have seemed to skimped down.

I’ve always felt like some of the O.G weber products would go up in value if kept sealed. It’s looking like that time may be coming soon

I thank that it will work out once they get any kinks worked out, especially since Weber already made a better griddle than blackstone or any others that are out there.

Picked up a Slate griddle a couple weeks ago because of this.

I am okay with this merger, I think both brands have things to offer each other. I am curious how this will affect the pellet grill offerings? Blackstone recently came out with a line of pellet grills that appear very similar to Pitboss’s Competition series grills (same assembly?). Will those grills still be offered? Will they carry Weber badges now? Will there be lower tier offerings, below the Searwood?

  14. The Weber Slate is far and away superior to any product that Blackstone has ever made.

  15. Shoulda got a Smokey mountain before they did this. Stick with my kettle

It was enough for me to go get my slate griddle now then wait..fingers crossed it turns out good, but been burnt ( no pun intended) enough by mergers.

Well, if Weber quality declines, we always have the SNS kettles to fall back on..

The PE monster already got its hooks into Weber so it was only a matter of time before the legendary customer service and product quality slips. It probably won’t go as well as the Bose/McIntosh deal.

Pretty common. If you can’t beat them buy them. Weber will probably improve the Blackstone name. Especially with all the new competition in the flat top market.
