Bulgur pilaf is an absolute staple in Levantine and Turkish cuisine. I’ll show you how to prepare Middle Eastern style bulgur pilaf (tomato bulgur). It’s a wonderful side dish to many main dishes (especially grilled meat and veggies). It’s also perfect as a light meal (with yogurt and salad) and comes together quickly and effortlessly.
📝 INGREDIENTS
175 g (1 cup) bulgur (coarse!)
2 tomatoes
1 Tbsp tomato paste
1 small yellow onion (or 1/2 medium size)
1 garlic clove
1/2 tsp coriander powder (optional!)
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 Tbsp olive oil
250 ml (1 cup) water
