The Union Gospel Mission will be serving Christmas dinners at the Bessie Smith Cultural Center on Christmas Eve Tuesday, from 11:00am to 2:00pm.
Volunteers are needed to help serve the prepared dinners and distribute cold weather clothing, a release from the organization said.
Prepared plates of food wait to be served to homeless dinner guests.

“With the colder temperatures coming into the Tennessee Valley, The Union Gospel Mission has had an increased need for blankets, gloves, hats, and hand warmers,” said Executive Director Rev. Jon Rector.
“Neighbors can drop these items off any time during our Christmas Eve meal feeding on Tuesday to the Bessie Smith Cultural Center, located at 200 East Martin Luther King Blvd,” Rector continued.
Their organization is also accepting donations online at their website, or by mail to PO Box 983, Chattanooga, TN 37401.
