HARTFORD, CT (WFSB) – Every state’s favorite Thanksgiving dessert is pie.
That’s according to a 2024 survey of 2,500 Americans by Online-Casinos.com.
In Connecticut specifically, that favorite dessert is pumpkin pie.
The pie is listed as the favorite in 37 states.

Apple pie is the favorite in seven states, including Massachusetts, Maine, Rhode Island, and Vermont.
In the deep south, however, the favorite is pecan pie.
In Oct. 2024, the website said it asked 2,500 Americans who celebrate Thanksgiving to tell it about their favorite Thanksgiving sides and desserts. Respondents were 51 percent female, 47 percent male, and 2 percent other gender identities. The average age of respondents was 37.2 years.
