  1. Pecan Pie Topping:

    Ingredients:
    1/4 cup Sugar
    1/4 cup Brown Sugar
    1 Egg Yolk
    1 T Cornstarch
    2 T Butter
    1 cup Pecans, chopped
    3/4 cup Water
    1/2 t Vanilla

    Directions:
    1. In a saucepan, stir together the sugars, yolk, cornstarch, butter, pecans and water.
    2. Heat on the stove, stirring continuously, until the topping comes to a boil and thickens. Let boil for a minute to cook out any cornstarch flavor.
    3. Take off the heat and add in the vanilla.
    4. Can eat hot, room temp or cold. Store in the fridge.
