Instead of the usual Christmas cookie box, here are my cake sampler boxes! 🎁🍰🌱

i usually make cookie boxes for my neighbors on christmas, but wanted to practice my cake decorating skills, so i decided to try out a few cakes instead, and i’m so happy with how everything turned out! ☺️

i originally thought this would be easier than cookies, and had 2 more flavors planned, but burnt myself out after these 4 working non stop for 2 days😅 i needed 4 more hands and 4 more kitchen aids lol. i’ve never tried to decorate cakes before and let me tell you, cake decorating is not for the weak, and i have soooo much respect for professionals!! the amount of labor that goes into decorating is insane, and mine are nowhere close to as detailed as most are!

4. vanilla raspberry with raspberry jam layers, white icing, and freeze dried raspberry sprinkled on top. i’ve never found a vegan vanilla/white cake i’ve loved, this was my first attempt at this recipe and it was one of my favorites so far! will definitely try it again. the white icing is also the best icing i’ve ever made, the crisco makes it SOOOO fluffy and light, similar to twinkie/hostess type fillings! i did read comments, and added salt and less powdered sugar which helped it not be overly sweet. https://yupitsvegan.com/wprm_print/bakery-style-vegan-white-cake https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/8263/best-white-icing-ever/
