Just made smash burgers for the first time tonight. Pretty tasty, but I’m wondering if I need to smash them more than I did? They were very juicy with just a bit of crunch on the edges. They definitely needed more salt. I forgot to sprinkle the garlic and onion powder on them. I also wasn’t a fan of the burger sauce I made (mayo, ketchup, vinegar, relish), even though I love burger sauce when I’m at a restaurant.

I’ve made a dozen variations of burger sauce. I recommend palying around with it. I’ve put honey lime and chipotle in mine before. Turned out pretty good. I also make this Dill hot sauce and I used it instead of relish before. It turned out well.

Anyways, great Job on your first one! Keep at it, you’ll master it in no time!

  2. I may be wrong and I’m sure someone will tell me if I am.. that said, I don’t want a burger chip, I thought the purpose of a smash burger was to get the extra char/crust but still get the burger bite!
    Yours looks great to me.
