I got a donburi pan for Christmas, so of course I had to make oyakodon for my first dinner when I got home. It’s a thin aluminum pan, so it simmers much faster than my normal pans and the last bit of egg I added cooked more than I would have liked.

Other than that, it’s definitely nice to have a pan that works for a single serving instead of trying to make an 8” skillet work for a single bowl.
