It’s colored sugar cookie dough pressed into gingerbread dough. I made them into sandwiches with an orange ginger filling. I was really happy with the colors and flavor but the shapes got too stretched out:( Next time I’ll roll the main dough much thinner before I place the cutouts on top. I used tiny clay cutters from Etsy for most of the shapes. The oranges and candy canes were by hand.
