I am very new to hydroponics and thought why not grow some peppers. (This is my first season trying any gardening)
I set up 3 kratky outdoors as follows:
Cayenne, jalapeno, and I think the last is a sweet pepper. EC 2, ph 6.5
20 litre containers
Indoors I have 6 peppers (2 of each of the above). They are currently drain to waste until I can sort out my self wicking pots. They are in 60/40 Coco coir/perlite.
They are currently under a spiderfarmer sf1000, 18h on at 80% (20 inch above canopy) but will be more spaced out and under a spiderfarmer g3000 within a week.
I know the pH is too high but I don't have the time to go get pH down (the local places pH down is just citric acid which is no good?)
Last picture is fully showing my starter set up lol
Any and all advice is welcome (I'm aware that the peppers I'm growing aren't that hot either but I'm new to those as well)

A possible method to help with lowering pH is look into coconut bark chunks. It’s cheap and densely loaded with tannins, which when leeched will quickly lower pH in the form of tannic acid and can actually be beneficial for the plants (honestly idk about use in hydroponics for that purpose, but I don’t see why not).
Hey im also growing peppers in coco with self wicking system. I put strings through the pots hanging down into nutrient containers. So far its working great. Check my recent posts
PH 6.5 is fine. It’s on the high end but it’s acceptable. My concern would be the water temp and light getting in those buckets (not sure where you’re located and December temps).
