I had a lot of family over last night and needed a centerpiece for the meal. Enter a chuck roast with my new Joule.
135 for 27 hours. Ice bath, pat dry, and then sear in a really hot cast iron pan.

Why does it take so long to cook? Generally interested in knowing. I received one for xmas, and honestly I asked for one because it’s the only way I haven’t cooked food and wanted to try it. This is beginning to discourage me.
