ESCANABA, Mich. (WLUC) – Christmas Camp has ended for Escanaba’s Scout Troop 411. The annual 3-day trip was held at Camp Hiawatha.

Scouts cooked a complete Christmas dinner, including turkey and mashed potatoes. Scouts also learned about different trees and played games in the snow.

Troop 411 Senior Patrol Leader Cameron LaVigne says spending the holidays with her troop was great.

“With everyone coming together and getting along, it just made everything really easy,” LaVigne said. “We didn’t have much cleaning to do cause everyone was pitching in, so we got to have fun most of the time and we got along really well.”

LaVigne says the troop was also achieving a camp merit badge and learned what makes a successful camping trip. She encourages people to join the troop for next year.

Troop 411 meets at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Escanaba on Mondays from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
