Why doesn’t the airport have a McDonald’s or some other mainstream fast food places?
Everywhere I go seems to have recognisable chain restaurants and the food is fine if a bit more expensive.

I’ve only ever had one airport meal that I liked or even remember and it was a Nashville hot fried chicken sandwich at heathrow. Sorry, don’t remember the restaurant but it had a bar and views of the runway if that helps lol.

Still, those might be fresh jalapeno slices, nobody puts those on stuff, it is always pickled. Better restaurants and Vietnamese banh mi and pho places have fresh.

I was at a layover in Dallas and they had a pretty good bbq place in there I got a three meat platter and was pleasantly surprised. Pulled pork, brisket, and cheddar sausage link. I will say it was a bit of a bummer the sides were meh beans were not great but on their menu they had wings that were like normally priced (like $1 per wing which for an airport I thought was great) but their dryers were down or I would’ve got some fried sides
