The Xmas cookie recipe my family has used for decades is from the 1950s. It puffs/spreads but has the best flavor. We traditionally top with buttercream, so this year I tried "rolled buttercream" which worked great! Just have to keep it cold for best cutting. I had leftover royal icing from other cookies so I added dried transfers too! Bonus pic of some of my royal icing cookies

What is rolled buttercream? I’d love a recipe it sounds like it would be so much easier than piping. It looks so much like fondant!
