How much is it gonna set me back? Been considering…

How long does it take for you to go through a loaf? I’m wondering if it prematurely dries out?

I freaking love mine. Don’t struggle with cutting anymore.

OP, congrats! though you’re pushing me down this rabbit hole again…
anyone heard of zassenhaus? It’s a German manual slicer I was checking awhile back, wondering if it lives up to the hype.

You can save a lot of money and counter space and get nearly the same results with an electric knife. My husband had bought one for me last year and I recently tried it on my sourdough loaves – game changer! Looks like you can pick one up for $24.99 on amazon – mine came with a carving knife and a bread knife attachment.

I recently posted nearly the same synopsis. Even for loaves that are too wide for the cutter, it does an excellent job.

I’ve got mine set on the widest setting and it’s the perfect bread slice.

Let the slices cool in a bag and stick in freezer.
