  1. A beautifully complex mid sweet port. Good fruit flavors (like cherry) but more subdued wit the longer aging, along with toffee, fig & citrous notes in the flavors. All with a long smooth finish.

I also like tawny ports w/ Le Campagnier French cheese and or fine chocolate.

Highly recommend, & not very difficult to source. Enjoy, have a nice Sunday & holidays.

  2. Out of curiosity, how many grams of sugar do you think is in your serving?

  3. Get a bigger glass with some room for that stuff to breathe, good lord.

  4. This is my old reliable Tawny right here. $40 at Costco. Been a while since I’ve seen it stocked though!

Love a good tawny port!! Taylor has never disappointed me. Grahams was my go to for awhile but has been hard to find the last few times I bought some port. Sandeman has been my go
To lately as it’s readily available around me.

Legs are determined by alcohol content so yes fortified wines will always have noticeable legs.

You could probably fit another nanoliter or two into that glass…

Legs? With a fill like that closet to ankles

  10. Lol I love the maximum pour there. Love me some nice port. I’m a huge fan of blue and strong cheeses too so it’s a perfect combo for me.

Taylor 20 year is good, I think the 30 year is underwhelming, but the 40 year is also excellent.

Ramos Pinto is my favorite 20 year.

Also that is an insane pour for that glass… I’d just use a wine glass at that point. I’ve drank many bottles of port out of wine glasses and its excellent.

that’s quite purple for a tawny , even taking into account that 20 yrs is when they “start” to go brown-ish…..
