Its Greek 2 U Grill is one of the best spots in the north side
Cozy spot in Andersonville. Great food, even better staff! Vicky is so fun, and full of life, makes dining in a lot more enjoyable. I still haven’t found a chicken souvlaki as good as Vicky’s!

I LOVE eating in places that obviously just used to be houses. One of my great joys in life. So cozy.

Underrated spot

I have tried it and it is not, central gyro is better. Talking just about their pork belly gyro (Greek 2 U grill).

As a native Greek, I’ve been wanting to go there for a long time. Haven’t found the time to get there

I have only eaten their once and did takeout. I grew up on Chicago gyros but I did not enjoy theirs at G2G.
Any recommendations about what to try so I can give them another shot?

I just wish they had an actual normal gyro

Pork Souvlaki skewers are really really good. Agree its an underrated spot and easy to miss from the outside

This is my favorite gyro in Chicago, hands down, as a Greek American (as if heritage somehow gives me extra authority)

Love that they make everything instead of using Kronos

It’s a gem. And the family running it are so nice.

It’s great when she doesn’t burn the shit out of your gyro and refuse to make it right.
Last time I was there she served me and my wife inedible food.

Perhaps I should give this place another shot. I went once over 5 years ago. The woman who served me was surly and pretty much told me what to order. The authentic gyro 🥙 I had (with the fries stuffed inside) was fine, but it didn’t wow me.

Super authentic. When I moved to the neighborhood, my wife and I got souvlakis for takeout there the first night. We looked at each other like, “damn, glad we moved here”.
