I would change a few things but overall very happy about it.

Great job! I think you’re right in that it’s slightly over, but I wouldn’t ever turn it down!
Also like that you season with more than just S&P! I do too!

Did good, I would have it more medium rare tho, and let it rest so the juices soak up in the meat. But overall first time great job tho. I would eat it.

It’s all subjective but a 3.5/5. Seems over cooked and not much of a sear/bark. I’m sure it tastes great.

500 degrees for 15min to get the bark. Then set to 350 for about 20 min per pound. Pull when internal is 128-130ish. Rest for 25 min. Enjoy!

Slightly over to most, but imo just right. I find prime rib often undercooked.

It’s looks great. Maybe a little beyond what I would prefer but I wouldn’t send it back. My family would love of observed prime.rib that looked like this! I’ve converted my wife and kids but still get the “that’s too pink” comments about medium steaks I serve to my extended family.

I’d say 5/10. It seems like you cooked at too high of a temperature but still didn’t get a good crust. Unless you’re using a smoker I think you’re better off just using an oven. If you’re using a smoker you can incorporate a lot of the aspects of this video to get great results.
To me it looks medium well, or as customers would say 😂 medium plus. If you like your meat that way that’s fine, it looks juicy and delicious. Furthermore in my opinion I like medium flat .

Out of 5? Less than a 3. Out of 10? Less than a 4. Not done very well, but failure is progress, and I have zero doubts that you’ll do much better on the next one. Keep it up 👍
