(They sold the building and land their North Austin location sits on and they’re moving to Leander.)

Whaaat I drove by a couple weeks ago to help a friend sell a car to a used car dealership in the area. I have never been to a Culver’s and was planning on going soon to check it out. Damn.

One in South Austin is still kicking. It’s really good.

  3. I liked that spot and it seemed like it was ran well. My favs were the sourdough melt and cheese curds.

Man, the new Braker Lane luxury high rise condo development is gonna be LIT.

Chicken cashew salad with the buffalo tenders is insane

First Culver’s in Austin I think(?) I remember when this place opened.

  7. This is sad. This was our first intro to Culver’s when it first opened. We lived off Dessau/Yager/Braker and went there the first week it opened and as often as we could until we left Austin in 2010.

There’s one in Round Rock, but that’s an extra 16 miles round trip…

Gawd I hit up this location a lot! My favorite fries too.

Noooo… Was there any notice? I’ve got a bunch of free custard tokens we haven’t even used because we were saving them to use when grandparents came to town.

Why are all of the comments deleted?

Also, I wish they weren’t moving so far away. For people in that neighborhood RR/Leander/Brodie are too far to enjoy Culver’s. My first job was at that location! We will miss you, Culver’s!

Got custard like 2 weeks ago if I’d known I’d have gone again before it closed DAMNIT

I’m legitimately heartbroken over this. I can’t believe I missed out on going by one last time.

I grew up down the street, my mom use to take me there all the time, especially after a doctors visit if I got any shots or if I was sick with strep throat and needed custard. I’m 30 years old now, I live not too far away and have been taking my wife and son. We really enjoy going, checking the flavor of the day and I get to reminisce about my childhood.

Now I find out, on Christmas, that I can never go again. That location was a little part of me.

This was the first place we ate at when we moved into our rental house after moving to Austin over 12 years ago now. Ended up buying nearby a few years later (not because of the Culver’s specifically, lol, though I wasn’t complaining). A real bummer.
