Community Christmas meals

Dec. 18 — The Monroe Center for Healthy Aging’s Christmas celebration and meal will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Monroe Center for Healthy Aging, 15275 S. Dixie Highway. Meals are $5 a person. The menu includes spiral ham, au gratin potatoes, green beans and dessert. Music and a sing-along will be led by Jon Moore and A La Carte.

Dec. 25 — A holiday meal will be served from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Christmas day at Monroe Center for Healthy Aging, 15275 S. Dixie Highway. Meals are $8 a person and include spiral ham, scalloped potatoes, green beans and dessert. Reservations are required by calling the center at 734-241-0404.

Danny’s Fine Foods is taking Christmas orders until Dec. 20 for USDA choice whole beef tenderloin; USDA choice standing rib roast; USDA choice boneless prime rib; Dearborn Torched Glazed spiral sliced ham; fresh Amish turkeys; fresh Muscovy ducks; Dearborn fresh kielbasa (5 lb. box): Dearborn smoked holiday kielbasa; Dearborn smoked kielbasa, fruit trays, shrimp trays and vegetable trays. Hi-Lite Fresh Market, 15539 S. Telegraph Road, is offering several heat and serve meals from their deli department. Orders must be placed by noon on Dec. 17 and picked up by 4 p.m. on Dec. 24. Options include prime rib, traditional turkey or ham dinners to serve up to six, and ham or turkey dinners for two. All dinners include dessert. KAS Market Fresh, 12599 Grafton Road in Carleton, has ham and turkey dinner options available. Orders must be placed by Dec. 22. The holiday ham dinner (can feed up to four people) includes country ham with a chunky pineapple glaze, cheesy potatoes or mashed potatoes, vegetable medley with roasted red potatoes, homemade biscuits, choice of a small cheese or vegetable tray. The holiday turkey dinner (can feed up to four people) will include a 10-12 lb. turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes with gravy, vegetable medley with roasted red potatoes, homemade biscuits, choice of a small cheese or vegetable tray and choice of pie. They also have holiday trays available — deli meats, cheese, vegetable and dessert. Orders require a 24-hour advance notice. For more information and details, call 734-654-1600.
