In the middle of a depressive episode, decided to make some cookies. Had a crying meltdown halfway through, felt like the guy from the great British bakeoff. Ignore my brothers hand in the second photo, he’s mooching.

    Recipe:

    2 1/4 cups flour
    1 tsp baking soda
    1 tsp salt
    2 tsp cornstarch

    2 sticks of butter (room temperature)
    2 tsp vanilla
    2 eggs
    3/4 cup granulated sugar
    3/4 cup packed brown sugar

    1 vanilla instant pudding jello packet (the powder keeps them soft and moist (don’t ask me how it works))
    2 cups chocolate chips

    Beat butter and sugar together. Add eggs and vanilla. Slowly beat in flour and other powders. Add jello packet. I threw a scoop of protein powder in this batch because my therapist has been yelling at me to eat healthier. After all is combined, mix in chocolate chips.

    Scoop a spoonful onto an ungreased baking sheet and bake at 375 F for 11-13 minutes. It usually makes 60-70 cookies

    This was one of my coping mechanism during my depressive states, so I must be depressed 24/7 lol (not lying actually)… I do get good feels from those I give my food to. Also pushes me to try to cook new things. I’m single, so have a very hard time cooking for one, so everyone else benefits from my depression? Lol… One of the most satisfying coping mechanism ever!!
