If you were given a Panetone you don't know what to do with, or want to take advantage of the grocery store selling these at 50% off, this is for you.

Ingredients: (makes 6)

1 24-oz Panetone
1/2 cup half-and-half
3 large eggs
Butter, or other for greasing waffle iron

Beat eggs thoroughly and combine with cream. Remove the top of the Panetone, and slice the remainder into 6 round slices. Place slices on a rimmed baking sheet and pour cream mixture over. Carefully flip slices to coat evenly. Grease a waffle iron and cook one at a time.

  1. I can’t edit the post text, but under ingredients, it should be 1 cup half-and-half, not 1/2 cup.
