That’s actually not super bad for a first go!
It looks like your oven temperature is a little off, a little too high probably. This is the hardest thing to dial in on, though. If you keep having issues and can’t figure it out, you might need an oven thermometer to monitor. But it’s be a good place to start to lower your bake temp by about 15°, make sure to preheat before putting the macs in, and start with your macs in the middle row.
The cracks could be from a lot of things, but I generally think it’s macaronage related. It look like these might be over mixed.
And remember, ugly macs usually still taste pretty good!
I started with Adam Ragusea’s video, [here](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=tsCvAijBn4Y) – – I suggest leaving out the cocoa powder and replacing with almond flour. Then, despite what he says, do everything you know to make them pretty. This video is a great confidence boost, though.
