Steak is perfect!!!!! MR to a T. Harder sear for me but Great cook and happy new year keep up this form of excellence! How did you prepare this?

Holy smokes. I’d say more crust but you can’t really achieve this uniformity even with a short sear. Did you?

please dont use serrated knives for steak , it ruins the taste

otherwise the steak looks a little rare and im not convinced of the flavor/quality of the meat, but i think I’d slam it

Looks amazing and perfectly cook. Pretty easy pro tip for next time… Make a pan sauce with the fond leftover from the steak while they are resting. Add some butter, red wine, some seasoning, and some water to help with consistency if needed. Goes great on the mashed taters.

I’m seldom impressed by people’s posts here. This looks amazing. Well done… I mean, PERFECTLY done. Maybe a bit more crust would be nice, but it would have to be using a giant torch so as not to ruin what you’ve executed here.

Frankly the steak looks great even though the cut pieces look a bit strange. But what I couldn’t deal with is the vegetable sides. The sour cucumbers ruin completely the steak taste for me. So please apologize when you have me over and I don’t eat those veggies.

Looks fantastic. Add some pan gravy on those potatoes and that’s a 10/10 plate.

Better than I did, that’s for sure lol. That looks so good though

More meat and do it on a charcoal grill next time. 10/10 bc it’s still steak.

Looks great! Even better when everyone agrees on the steak preference

Im not into steak THIS rare but it still looks good. Only critique would be to make sure you ask your family how cooked they like their steak :p

The steak looks ok, but that presentation is dire. The vegetables are over-cooked and the mash looks firm and unpalatable. A steak is the star of the show and needs to be in the spot light. The sides should not be a distraction. Place the steak in the centre of the plate in a small pool of pan sauce. Form the mashed potatoes into quenelles using two serving spoons and place beside the steak. Align the vegetables next to the potatoes. And then a final drizzle with sauce.
