I’m sorry I don’t mean to be ignorant, but aren’t parasites a concern here?

Despite knowing you caught it, the last pic just screams fresh

    Looks great.

Just fyi, it takes a few days at the very least for bluefin to taste the best. Eating it fresh as you described is not the best way to eat it. Next time, I would let it rest in the fridge with newspaper covering it, for a few days.

Man, I miss deep sea fishing. Congrats and I hope that you have plenty frozen to continue enjoying! (+ that you tipped the crew with some)

God dammit what I would give to have this experience. Looks incredible!!

Nice fish! Did you get a weight on that guy?

East coast I assume? We catch the pacific variety here in CA, but I don’t see many caught with skirted lures like that.

Bro you’re supposed to to freeze it in case of parasites. You’re going to get a tapeworm

Looks absolutely phenomenal man, I’ve always dreamt of being able to actually catch my feed like you did lol, you did well with prep too!! All I’d add is serving them ontop of crushed ice to keep them chilled, with a dash of wasabi but yours is good regardless

This is how you enjoy bluefin and tuna in the best way, cooked is alright but loses so much flavor. This is equivalent to a medium rare steak 🤌🏻 chefs kiss
