I don’t usually work with fondant/icing as I don’t have a steady hand due to health conditions, so this is my first cake covered in fondant! We’ve just moved to a new area and I’m only a hobby baker, I am not a professional but I do enjoy it. My husband offered my services to his work colleagues and now I have lots of cake orders😂
I know it’s not perfect but if anyone has any tips on how to work with fondant/icing, I’d be grateful!
It’s a birthday cake that was ordered to be an Aberdeen Football Club cake!

So cute! I get you not being a professional but having a partner market you anyways haha. With some more practice (which the work publicity is bound to get you) it will start to look professional, but this is actually amazing for a first shaped fondant cake.
The best advice I can give is slow and steady! My hands don’t shake, but I do have very weak wrists that impede my baking, and when I get frustrated and push past my limits is when I start making mistakes.
Keep going!
