Hi folks! We have a three head machine at a pretty busy location. We are noticing a lot of built up coffee grounds inside the machine. Any tips on getting that off? Helpful tools? We use powdered espresso cleaner and purge through the machine. We have a couple of scrubby tools but I’m having a hard time cleaning up inside the lip. Any advice is welcomed!

i just use a clean wet rag, works pretty good

We use a toothbrush-like thing and then a warm wet rag

We use a warm rag and it works pretty well. We take apart and clean her each day so I think just constistant upkeep is key

  4. Insert the portafilter with a blind filter and turn on constant waterflow, then jack the portafilter back and forth to rinse the grouphead with pressured hot water.

Just be careful not to burn yourself. I wrap the portafilter handle with a rag.

Remind all baristas that simple things like wiping basket rims and portafilter lugs before locking in go a long way to keeping the grouphead clean. Takes literally a second.

Weird but effective fix, wet the surface, use a cheap wooden/bamboo chopstick to scrap things (so you don’t scratch the components) and then just pass a damp cloth. Rinse and repeat as necessary
