Accidentally put water on it before I shot the first picture. We don't have any grill cleaner chemical right now so we're just using water.

Crush up egg shells. They are 94% Calcium Carbonate and a very good abrasive, one of the principal components of scrubbing cleansers. Try it. I bleach my egg shells and cut them up in an old food processor. When dried, they make a reusable cleaning powder.
