Per kilogram. That’s not that much higher than the same meat in the US.

100 AUD$ =62 US$
Apprehensive-Sail815
That’s too many conversions for me to do right now

To be fair, local Australian beef is outstanding and cheap. Have you ever been to an American or UK supermarket? Everything is double the price and disgusting.

You should be happy that you have such a good butcher with such a great selection. You can come to Germany if you like. You can get your steak for a penny here, but the quality is absolutely rubbish most of the time.

Aussie dollars per kilo…. can someone translate this to bald eagles per football field?
R5Jockey
$390 AUD per Kilo is $110 USD per pound. That’s actually cheap for that cut of wagyu. Strips at $20/lb… that’s a decent price as well.
MonsteraBigTits
your cow pastures are lookin mighty dry these days. maybe kangaroo meat is back on the palllete what say mr. aussie man??

Odidlydokely
Imagine not realising there’s a whole world out there that isn’t USD and lbs. OP is like one of those tribes that sees visitors for the first time

turbo2world
find your local butcher they say, it’ll be way cheaper they say!
Personal_Pin_5312
There are some of the best quality locations on those steaks. Also, this is a premium butcher. So prices are marked up. You can find 1.5kg Tomahawks for $40 Australian if you go elsewhere.
Mongloidshitfit
These do seem somewhat bougie to begin with.
jmaze215
Zero marbling is any of that…
Rapid-Barnacle385
We don’t produce any livestock here, hence the high prices. Very similar situation to gas/electricity…….
SmokedBeef
That meat case is more well traveled than I am
Crystalclear77
Might as well buy a $300 gram of cocaine and eat that instead.
