FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Texas restaurant chain Rudy’s Bar-B-Q is planning to add a new location in Fayetteville, its first in Arkansas.

The location is being built at 4048 W Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, according to the restaurant’s website. The chain posted a photo on its Instagram Stories on Tuesday of construction underway on the building.

Rudy’s serves a variety of barbecues including brisket, pulled pork, chicken, smoked turkey and ribs. Meats are sold by the half-pound and prices range from $7.49 to $11.49.

The restaurant also offers a wide range of sandwiches, breakfast tacos, side dishes and desserts.

The chain was founded in the 1980s by Rudolph Aue as a one-stop gas station, repair shop and grocery store in Leon Springs, Texas. In 1989, the company added barbecue to the menu.

Rudy’s currently has 50 locations across Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arizona, Colorado and Florida.
