SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3/Gray News) – A restaurant in southwestern Missouri is looking for a customer who left a heartfelt note for its staff on Christmas Day.

Black Sheep Burgers & Shakes said a woman left the note when she dined at the downtown Ozarks location.

The note, in cursive handwriting, read:

“December 25, 2024

To the owner, managers and staff!

A very heartfelt thank you for the kindness of you all! It would have been a very boring Christmas for me as I have no family left. I never thought of this years ago, but being the youngest in my family, I have seen everyone leave this Earth before me.

Living on Social Security has put me in a position to downsize to renting a room and sharing a house… the young people know what I mean. I feel like I’m in college again!

A dear friend heard about the offer of the free meal and invited me out for “Christmas lunch.” Great idea since I was down to $1!

The meal was wonderful as were the staff. Thank you again for making it a day to remember! Blessings”

The owner of Black Sheep, Mike Jalili, is looking for the woman who wrote the letter, so he can invite her to his family’s house for the holidays.

He also wants to invite her to other restaurants owned by the Jalili family.

If you know the woman, the restaurant asks you to private message them on their Facebook page.
