I can only give relevant feedback if you let me taste a slice 😋

Are the plants edible? Personally I think the cake looks great without the flora… and if edible do they add to the flavor if not why have them there as opposed to a lovely bouquet behind or near the cake.
But, and I can’t stress this enough, why was I not invited over for a slice. ☺️

Is that white chocolate on strawberries? I want a slice too. It looks beautiful. You have every right to be proud!

The only feedback I have would be to present the cake on a clean plate and to maybe up the contrast between the colours on the dipped strawberries to make the yellow ‘pop’ a little more. Aside from that: great job!! I’d totally eat a slice (or two) 😊❤️

Please tell me I’m not the only one who thought those strawberries were pasta shells.

I couldn’t get a read on what they were, and I’ve been watching a lot of stuffed shells videos. The shape is so similar!

    Nice looking cake, OP.

Very pretty cake. The strawberries look a little strange though

You know what? I will try your bundt topped with fancily large macaroni and cheese, sure.

Honestly I don’t like the colors. The strawberries look like bugs with guts spilling out

Send me one of these cakes!!!

    YUM YUM!!!!

Looks great but I wouldn’t have dipped the strawberries in white chocolate. Just leave them as they were. Add a bit of color to the cake.

Listen, you did really well and decorated very meticulously. I just can’t help but instinctively think the strawberries look like trilobites or some sort of bug. Don’t feel down on yourself, you still did way better than most. But still, maybe a different colour or contrast on the drizzle will help?

OP this is beautiful, I wish I had the patience or confidence as a baker to try stuff like this, I fear it looking bad or just failing and getting frustrated! Great job!

  13. Cupsandicequeen

I’m sorry but the colors or something make it look like a savory dish on top of a cake. The drizzle doesn’t make any sense. I honestly have no idea what I’m looking at

I think it looks beautiful, aside from the strawberries. The colors chosen make them look like bugs, I think it would have looked beautiful (the strawberries, the cake it already beautiful) not covered with anything!

Love it! Great detail with the flowers.

The strawberries reminds me of grub worms from the lion king. All said and done it looks delicious

I’m so taken aback by the isopod comments 🤣🤣 it never occurred to me but I can totally see what ya’ll are saying.

So the strawberries actually weren’t supposed to look like that, I wanted ‘golden dipped’ strawberries but I think my skillset wasn’t good enough to achieve that look so I just panicked and added more drizzle until they ended up looking like that 😅 wasted A LOT of good dust and learned a good lesson I suppose

  18. Nurse_Hatchet

I think the strawberries would be a lot better if you’d left a bit of red showing at the top to make it more obvious that it’s a strawberry. Also, using thinner lines for the drizzle. Still a very pretty cake though!

Love the pansies! Cake looks delicious. Maybe leave the strawberries uncoated next time. 💕

But kinda reminds me of bee hives/honey?

  20. liquiditygentleman

The strawberries look like lovely grubs but im an entomologist so that appeals to me greatly

  21. neuroticb1tch

the strawberries are distracting from the otherwise gorgeous cake. leaving them uncovered may provide more contrast and make it look “fresher”. as some have said, the strawberries resemble isopods or pasta shells

  22. Lol I don’t even follow this subreddit but I’m glad I’m not the only one who saw the covered strawberries as… Isopods 😭

I would still eat the hell out of that cake OP, just after flipping over the strawberries.
