I’m also open to suggestions. Preferably nothing more than $400. Lamb is on the menu. Fire away!

If this is being served to all guests, which I’m assuming it is, why spend the money on Sass? You can still wow guests with a much cheaper wine. Try alpha omega napa valley Cab.

You should have the sass on your 10 or 20 year anniversary

If i had $400, i would go buy an older bottle of Sass for the dinner

I just got married, and honestly I wouldn’t. There is so much other stuff going on that day, you won’t want to be buried in your glass (and you probably won’t have the time to appreciate it). I had Produttori Barbaresco for myself which did the job handedly but wasn’t an intellectual exercise. Would save Sass for another time. It’s also really young!

100% Keep for an anniversary

I would keep the sas for your next marriage

Not the 2021..

Pop the Catena. One of the best wines I’ve ever had. Sass on the younger side, I’d save that for you 10th anniversary or your second marriage 😉

Unless your wedding is in 10 years, I would hold it for an anniversary. Way too soon to open a 2021.

It is totally fine to enjoy the 21′ Sass for your upcoming wedding,so long as you say nothing about it to this subreddit lest you be labeled completely insane or an ignorant newb.. You can hide in a darkened room with me and my young Barolo..

What year is the malbec argentino?
Montauket
Save it for anniversary dinner. Personally I drank nothing but roederer estate at my wedding and I didn’t regret a single second of it.

Get a special bottle of champagne (vintage of the year you met etc..) and save it for your 10 yr anniversary.

Pretty sure I only finished 2 of the many glasses I was drinking on my wedding night. You’ll get pulled away to say hello, for a photo, etc. and forget about whatever glass you were previously drinking. It’s your money, but it would be a shame to see that happen to nicer wines.

I mean. Why not? I had two glasses of wine at my wedding. I didn’t go nuts. Just don’t go nuts, is all.

If I’m doing lamb, I do Northern Rhone Syrah or Cayuse.

It’s too young. Go with the general advice to hang onto this one for a decade. Drink something else.

Too young

What is that Malbec? It looks interesting from a bottle standpoint but I’ve never seen that

Overpriced for the quality

I vote for the Sassicaia and get a few extra bottles for notable future anniversaries.

I LOVE the Argentino! I used to sell it and have a giant poster of the label. It’s so cool.
