After briefly dipping down to -30c (-22f), we had a scorcher of a day today. Currently a balmy -1c (30f) and dropping fast.

Just got my Performer this past October, but have been grilling on it far more than I was expecting. The family wanted wings today, so I'm making wings!

This will only be my 3rd batch of wings, but the last two times were great. No vortex for me, baskets have been doing just fine – but hey! You do you – all that matters is you're making great food in a way that works for you, and can actually enjoy the process.

Tight fit for it all, haha!

    About to do my first wings. I have about the same setup. What is your sauce or mixture. Our temperatures look about the same.

    People who have used this method as well as using the Vortex, how big of a difference is the end result? Is the basket method severely lacking and the Vortex is far superior? Or is one just better than the other but they’re both very good?
